Cabin Services Program

Establishment

Program of Civil Aviation Cabin Crew Training was also opened in the 2017-2018 academic year and in the 2018-2019 academic year, academic activities began by taking students for daytime and evening education.

Contributing to the scientific and cultural development of the region by giving education opportunities to the young people in our country and in our region, raising and developing the qualified labor power needed by the sector.

Vission

To be the leading vocational school that meets the needs of trained intermediate staff of the region and the country by raising young people who have graduated from Kelkit Aydın Doğan Yüksek Okulu, who have the qualified knowledge and skills and can solve the problems they encounter.

 

Graduation Degree

Graduates are awarded an associate degree in Civil Aviation.

 

Admission Requirements

To be successful in the YKS exam conducted by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). Admission conditions for foreign students are announced on the university's website at the beginning of each academic year. In addition, each student  must have an Airworthiness report from hospitals approved by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation(SHGM) and must not have a health or physical problem (height, weight, tattoo, etc.) that prevents him from being a cabin crew.

 

Transfer to Bachelor Degree Programs

Candidates who have successfully completed their associate degree education can transfer to the following departments, respectively, with the Bachelor Degree Transfer Exam.

Graduation Requirements

Students who successfully complete all the courses available from the programs for a total of 120 ECTS and achieve a weighted grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 are entitled to graduate.

 

Employment Opportunities of Graduates

Students who graduate from the Program of Civil Aviation Cabin Crew can work as flight attendants in airlines.

Vision of the Department

To support the civil aviation sector, which has been developing continuously since the beginning of the 2000s in our country, in training the qualified intermediate staff needed by the sector, and to be the department preferred by the candidate students in line with this goal.

Duties and Functioning of Department Quality Board

 

1-) At the end of each academic year,  The Commitee  makes written suggestions to the department board on the improvement of education-training and research-development activities in terms of quality.

2-) The Committee reviews the quality activities at the beginning of each academic year, identifies the existing problems. If any problem occurs, makes suggestions to the department board regarding the correction of these problems.

ACADEMIC

Academic Staff Planning of the Department

Academic Personnel Planning of the Department is carried out within the framework of "Regulation on Determination and Use of Academic Staff Norm Staffs in State Higher Education Institutions".

 

Development Opportunities of Academic Staff

It is possible for academic staff to participate in education or academic activities organized both at home and abroad in order to develop and train themselves, provided that legal processes are fulfilled. On the other hand, academic staff can attend the project and academic publication writing trainings given by the BAP unit.

 

EDUCATION

Student Admission Requirements of the Department

Student Qualification Requirements

In order to obtain an associate degree in Civil Aviation Cabin Crew Training Program, students;

Must pass all the courses in the curriculum with at least a DC degree,

A minimum GPA must be  2.0 out of 4.00

Graduation requirements

Students who successfully complete all 120 ECTS courses in the program and achieve a weighted grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 are entitled to graduate. In addition to successfully completing the courses, a graduation work is essential for graduation.

Employment Opportunities for Graduates

Students who graduate from the department are able to find jobs in airline companies under favour of the education they receive.

Educational Process in the Department

The curriculum of the department is reviewed at the end of each semester, and the proposals for changes in the curriculum are discussed at the Board of Department and necessary changes are made.

Education takes place in two different environments.

Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:

To be able to explain general concepts related to civil aviation,

To ensure that the operation related to in-flight service in airline operations is carried out in accordance with the standards specified by national and international organizations,

To be able to convey information and opinions verbally and in writing to colleagues and service recipients within the organization in accordance with the corporate culture in organizations operating in the civil aviation sector,

To have information about aviation safety and aviation safety in air transportation,

To have knowledge about cabin services,

To be able to explain who the stakeholders of airline companies are,

To gain the level of foreign language knowledge required in the field

To have sufficient awareness of environmental awareness, occupational health and safety in relation to the aviation sector.

Counseling Services Offered to Students

Consultancy services are provided under 4 headlines. These are:

1. Course selection and registration: During the course selection process, students get consultancy services by contacting their academic advisors.

2. Participation in exchange programs (Farabi, Mevlana etc.): Announcements are made to the students on the official website of the university every academic semester.

3. Employment: Students are informed about the fields and working conditions in which they can be employed collectively at least once during the semester. Apart from these, each student who requests is given information about the fields in which they can be employed and their working conditions.

4. Internship: Necessary information is given to the students about the optional internship programs and the necessary guidance is given to the students who want to do internship.

Opportunities to Participate in Exchange Programs

Students who want to participate in exchange programs can apply to Mevlana and Farabi programs through the Foreign Relations Office. Department coordinators provide the students with the necessary support during the application and subsequent processes.
