GENERAL INFORMATIONS
Establishment
The Department of Transportation Services was opened in the Department of Economics and Administrative Programs in 2006-2007 and later changed to the Department of Transportation Services. While there is only one department under the department as a Civil Air Transportation Management program, Cabin Crew Training program was also opened in the 2017-2018 education period. In the 2018-2019 academic year, education was started by taking students with day time education and evening education.
Mission
To contribute to the scientific and cultural development of the region by providing education opportunities to the young people in our country and in our region, to train and develop the qualified manpower that the sector needs.
Vision
To ensure that the young people who graduated from Kelkit Aydın Doğan Vocational School have qualified knowledge and skills and can solve the problems they face. To be the leading vocational school that meets the trained personnel needs of the region and the country.
Degree to be Taken
To graduates students are awarded an associate degree in Civil Aviation.
Admission Requirements
To be successful in the YKS exam conducted by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). Admission conditions for foreign students are announced on the university's website at the beginning of each academic year.
Upgrade
Candidates who have successfully completed their associate degree education can transfer to the following departments, respectively, with the Bachelor Degree Transfer Exam.
Students of the Civil Air Transport Management department can transfer to the following departments,
Graduation Requirements
Students who successfully complete all the courses available from the programs for a total of 120 ECTS and achieve a weighted grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 are entitled to graduate.
Employment Opportunities of Graduates
Graduates of the Civil Air Transport Management department can work in the following business areas with the education they received from the school at the airport /airline.
Ground Handling Companies;
Airlines Companies;
They can work in Representation, Supervision and Management Companies.
Cabin Crew Training Programme graduates can only work as a cabin crew in airlines.

Vision of the Department
The civil aviation sector in our country has been developing continuously since the beginning of the 2000s. For this reason, the vision of our department is to assist the industry in raising qualified personnel needed by the industry and to be the department preferred by students in line with this goal.

To be an educational institution that constantly develops and renews itself within the framework of national and international standards in civil aviation education.

Duties and Functioning of Department Quality Committee
1-) The Committe, at the end of each academic year; It makes written suggestions to the department committee on the improvement of education-training and research-development activities in terms of quality.
2-) The Committee reviews the quality activities at the beginning of each academic year, identifies the existing problems when there is a problem, and makes suggestions to the department committee to correct these problems.
External Stakeholders of the Department
Public institutions operating in the civil aviation sector in our country; Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, General Directorate of Civil Aviation and State Airports Administration. Institutions in the private sector are Airline Companies, Ground Handling Organizations and other private sector aviation institutions.

ACADEMIC
Academic Personnel Planning of the Department
Academic Personnel Planning of the Department is carried out within the framework of "Regulation on Determination and Use of Academic Personnel Norm in State Higher Education Institutions".
Development Opportunities of Academic Personnel
It is possible for academic personnel to participate in education or academic activities organized both at domestic and abroad in order to develop and train themselves, provided that legal processes are fulfilled. In addition, academic personnel can attend the project and academic publication writing trainings given by the BAP unit.

Graduation Requirements
Students who successfully complete all 120 ECTS courses in the program and achieve a weighted grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 are entitled to graduate. In addition to successfully completing the courses, students have to complete the undergraduate thesis.
Employment Opportunities for Graduates
Students who graduate from the department can find employment in aviation-related public institutions. In addition, he can find work in other aviation-related private sector companies, especially ground handling companies operating in the sector.
Educational Process in the Department
The curriculum of the department is reviewed at the end of each semester, and the proposals for changes in the curriculum are discussed at the departmental committee and necessary changes are made.
Education takes place in two different areas.
a) In the classroom area,
b) In practice (such as technical trips to airports).

Opportunities to Participate in Exchange Programs
Students who want to participate in exchange programs can apply to Mevlana and Farabi programs through the Foreign Relations Office. Department coordinators provide the students with the necessary support during the application and subsequent processes.
Club Counseling Activities Conducted by Department Academics
Model Aircraft Club: The academic consultancy of the club is provided by one of the faculty members of the department, Lecturer Serdar OKAN.
